MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING
MARCH 13, 2003
Chief Avery called the meeting to order @ 1905 hours with a salute to the flag.
The minutes from the February monthly meeting were approved as printed.
The minutes from the February and March Officer’s meeting were printed and posted.

Motions made and approved to accept the report and to pay the bills.
Correspondence –
Letter of resignation accepted from Dan Goslin with regret. Thank you letters read.
Antiques – Waiting for better weather to take the wheels to PA. Getting help with the federal.
Auction – Sometime in April.
By-laws – Brought to the membership to start reviewing. Motion made and approved to move the
Proposed by-laws forward.
Cadets – new member, re-election was held for deputy chief. Motion made and approved to accept the report. Chris Ezold will be allowed back under the strict supervision of Brian Johnston Jr.
Computers – Calendar is on line. Give John Knapp information for the calendar. NFIRS computer is installed in the bay.
Golf tournament – We paid the old balance. Will go to Banner Lodge – 6/27/03, motion made and approved to allow the committee to work in the best interest of the department.
Fisherman’s Breakfast – progress. 4-19
Fund raising – Suggestion to do a firehouse cook book to sell for the 150th.
Historical – Request for $50.00 for 8mm-video tape – approved.
House 1 – Work party to be scheduled in April. Buckets will be at the bay doors, wash the trucks after every call.
House 2 – Thank you for the flushing toilets TONY!!! Painting is coming along. Work party needed before fisherman’s breakfast.
Kitchen – Thank you to Jim Kennedy for the dinner tonight!
KX Liaison – looking into grants. Budget cuts.
Ladies night – Getting close!
Parades – Would like to attend as many as possible this year. If you would like to go you will need a uniform, see the Quartermaster.
Physical fitness – treadmill needs repair.
Picnic – Need a date.
Point Audit – posted.
Public relations – letter went in to local paper regarding the cadet 40th anniversary.
Quartermaster – ask Becky if you want to order something.
Safety – needs a volunteer from each division to be on the committee.
Training – posted. Make sure everyone signs out for the drills. Matrix being worked on.
Treasurer’s Audit – Tony G will sit on the committee and they will find a CPA to help.
Water – we will start tracking maintenance on the hydrants.
150th Anniversary – working on the booklet. Met with town – progress.
New Business -
Motion made and approved for the company to pay for the re-lettering of Lt.’s names on vehicles.
Membership –
Motion made and approved to vote on the termination of membership for Ralph Pallozzi for being less than forthright with the department.

Good & Welfare – Gary Avery’s father passed away, Joe Forcucci’s brother passed away, and life member Red Hutchins passed away.
Chief’s Minute -
Good job by all who helped with the storm that closed Rte 2.
Survey coming out from the career chief committee.
Budget meeting – doesn’t look good. Meeting with BOF next Wednesday
Thank you to all, especially Deputy Chief Cox for getting NFIRS done.
S228 is coming along. Pictures in the radio room. Approximately 6 weeks away.
Hydrant schedule will be worked on.
